The Challenge

Part 1 - The Building Project - with a difference

It's a strange building project. Most church building projects aim to purchase or constuct a building and then move into it. The HCC fellowship actually occupy and have occupied the building since 1981 (read About Us) but the church building itself belongs to the Methodist Church.

Our Challenge

It's very complicated and the details are not important but the challenge is this. The church building is going out on the open market in 2010 leaving the HCC fellowship 2 years to find a £240,000 plus an additional £60,000 to bring the building back to full working order.

...£300,000 in 2 years...

Part 2 - HCC Ministry

Althought the challenge of the building project is an urgent need. It is important that we continue to invest and continue the growth of the HCC ministry. So the second part of the challenge is that we maintain the steady growth of financial support in the ministry.

Why the Jireh Project?

We are a fellowship that is in one of the poorest areas of Britain and to our fellowship £300,000 is a large amount of money. Especially when you consider annual fellowship turnover is around £45-50,000. We run solely on the investment of our members and the kind support of the Baptist Union Home Mission and every year we have enough to money to cover our costs.

Our God meets our needs and we believe that God will meet what seems to be a mammoth need!

Harpurhey - A Spiritual Investment

Our Fellowship is committed to the challenge God has put before us and we are investing what we believe God has put on our hearts to give. When we give we will see a return it may not be always a financial return but we will see God's power and favour at work in our lives and in the community.

We want to give you the opportunity to invest in our fellowship. We believe as you invest you will become part of our vision and what God does. We don't want you to give. We want you to invest because investors have an interest in their investment and so become part of the vision.
